Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy course. It is a test of four subjects i.e. Accounting, Mercantile Law, General Economics and Quantities Aptitude. The test is of 200 marks, divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between. It is an objective type test with negative marking.

Session – I
(Two section – Two hours – 100 marks)
Section A: Fundamentals of accounting (60 marks)
Section B: Mercantile Law (40 marks)

Session – 2
(Two section – Two hours – 100 marks)
Section C: General Economics (50 marks)
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)
